McCain did a really smart thing here. Now, he has the media pandering to his ticket more. xD

personally, i've been hearing on CNN and all those republican radio stations and stuff that palin wasn't he preferred choice but nobody wanted 2 be his running mate for whatever reason. i think he's using her to try to get the hilary supporters myself, thats just me though.

I think that people don't want to be his running mate, because he represents his beliefs. Not his party. Shows that even his party dislikes him. To me, that's great character in not licking your finger and sticking it out in the wind. As Obama has done with drilling for oil. Also, it makes sense that she wasn't his preferred choice. Cause, he is like a moderate. My parents (yes my parents ... So take that into account) told me that she is very conservative.

I think that it isn't a great choice, because she has very little experience, and do we really want a person with no experience running our country if McCain dies in office

I'd much rather have Biden running the country than her when the most people that she has ever led is the population of Memphis. And apparently his beliefs are pretty close to the party because he voted with George Bush 90% of the time.

Yet people will say this and vote for Obama, who has one year more on his political resume? Obama has led a population of what? oh yea, Zero. Probs the least viable argument ever. Theres a reason only like 3 presidents have been elected directly from the senate, at least McCain has years under his belt and has the war hero thing to back him up. By the way, he almost never agrees with bush, in fact the two have disliked each other for many many years... His policies are pretty different... if your assuming because he supports the war that he is the same as bush, you would be quite mistaken. From what ive been reading republicans are liking this choice. She will bring in women voters, especially the ones that supported Hillary, seeing as how tons of them have vowed not to endorse obama. She is great with anyting to do with economy and shit, something mccain struggles with, as he is a national security man. So that is a major plus. She may be more of a gamble, but seeing as how Biden is doing jack shit for Obama from a political campaign stand point, McCains pick was hands down better.

I hate to say it, but there's a good chance that either of the elected presidents could end up dying in office, Obama by assassination (they already tried to do it at the convention but were caught) and McCain from old age. I'd much rather have Biden running the country than Palin, who has run Alaska for 1 year. Alaska.

Have you looked at what she had done there? Some really good things... she legitimately turned that state around for the better... just cause its alaska doesnt mean its not legitimate.
Biden also has spent his entire career in the senate and has no more leadership ability than mccain.
McCain wont die in office lmao... this isnt a soap opera...

In my opinion, McCain just put Obama in the white house. While Biden seems to be disliked by a large percentage of people, he is established and will crush Palin in any kind of debate. Palin is in no way shape or form anything like Hilary Clinton. I only heard this on a fm radio thing, but apparently Palin was investigated for things like corruption where she got her daughter's ex-bf fired cuz he dumped her daughter. I forsee most of the upset women supporters of Clinton still sticking w/ Obama after Clinton's speech at the convention. I would have liked to see McCain go w/ Tim Pawlenty, but thats just Minnesota bias really. I think the best pick would have been Romney.

Yeah, I'd have to think Romney was one of McCain's first choices, but they're saying that no1 wanted 2 leave their job to go lose the election. And this was said on a republican station where they had just went on for 10 minutes absolutely destroying this woman that had called in to say something about why democrats are better lol. And they interviewed the guy that wrote the speeches for George Bush (can't remember if it was Sr. or Jr.) but he said it was a terrible decision and that if Obama wasn't the favorite to win the election before, he's pretty much guarenteed to win now.
