No doubt it is a difficult task to go 16-0 for two consecutive years. But it might not be as tough as many people seem to think.
The Patriots have A VERY easy schedule. They have the same starters coming back. They lost Samuel's to the Eagles, but the defense doesn't need to worry about that considering the opponents they face this year.
www.nfl.com/teams/schedule?team=NE&season=2008&seasonType=REG
Chiefs-Brodie Croyle is starting and that team has lots of inexperienced players. Pretty much they are rebuilding(It'll be a tough game for me to watch )
@ Jets-The offense improved a lot with the amount of blockers they brought in, but I don't think it's enough for the Jets to stay close with NE.
Dolphins-Similar to the Chiefs..they are rebuilding
@ 49ers-Another team rebuilding...Alex Smith, this guy has to make an impression this year or he will go through what David Carr went through last year.
@ Chargers-They played twice against SD. First time major blow out (during the 1-3 start) but the second time it was much closer and Brady had his worst game all season..3 INT's. The Chargers were injured on offense so that was why they lost. Stay healthy and maybe the Pats will have something to worry about..
Broncos-I like Jay Cutler and Selvin Young, but this is a team that has a lot of work to do still.
Rams-Another rebuilding team
@ Colts-As always, anytime these 2 play it ends up being a good one. The Colts have never shown any signs of declining despite the amount of injuries last year. This team is old, but they have good depth with young players. But I think this defense will struggle against the Pats.
Bills-This team has a couple good players. They are not really rebuilding. But I don't see the Pats having issues in this game.
Jets-I don't think there will be a difference considering this time it will be at home.
@ Dolphins-I don't care where the game is, Miami won't win.
Steelers-They are at home, but this might be the other team that can force the Patriots to struggle. It's a very close matchup, I think it will be a closer game than last year.
@ Seahawks-I don't like this team. Hasselback is a great player, but I'm not a fan of this defense. This is a game where the Pats can score a ridiculas amount of points.
@ Raiders-This team will be better, but they won't be good enough to beat the Pats.
Cardinals-This team is similar to the Bills, just slightly better maybe. But they are not in the same level as the Pats.
@ Buffalo-Like I said for Miami, I don't care where the game is played.
I think the Pats have the skills to prevail in those tough games. The toughest thing about this schedule is that they go to the west coast four times and they go @ Indy..and I don't think that's enough to stop the Pats
As a Patriot hater, I hate to say it..I see another 16-0 season for them. They may lose 1 or 2 games at the most, but overall, this will be a team that will stay on top. I'd love for this team to lose more games and lose early in the playoffs though
Anyone disagree?
