I fucking hate this guys god damn guts. I wouldn't if he didn't come out of retirement the first 10 years of his career. I hate how he cries at each retirement speech though. I get fucking sick and tired of it

Theres nothing wrong with having the "itch" to play, but not when you retired months ago. The Packers have already spent the off season shaping this as Aaron Rodgers' team. They don't need to delay his development for another year (God knows how many years.) At the same time, I do feel like the Packers are spitting on Favre's face by telling the future QB HOFer to be Rodgers' backup. But then again, Favre should make a choice and stick to it. If Favre wants to play, thats fine, thats his choice. I'd love to see him win another ring as he showed last year that he still has it in him. But he shouldn't retire and re-announce a come back late in the off season. If he wanted to play for another team, he should have just simply stated at the time instead of retiring. It reminds me of some of the people in this league who retire then unretire But in all seriousness, if the Packers won't start Favre, they might as well trade him..

Yeah, they shouldn't be putting him on the bench. He was probably a top 3 QB at times during the season. I think it is time for the Packers to move on. But the fans have an opinion in this, more so than other teams, because it is a publically owned team. So if their fanbase wants it, then they might just have to give into it.
Personally, I'd like to see something from this Aaron Rodgers guy (in the NFL) before I would completely move onto him. Favre just had a great season, one of his best. From a personal perspective, I think Favre is a complete asshole for unretiring the amount he has. He has ruined the Packers off-season plans for more than a few years now. Aaron Rodgers might just have the worst professional sport life that I've seen.

HE HAS LOVE FOR THE FUCKING GAME. WHICH MANY FUCKING PEOPLE NOW FAIL TO HAVE THEY WANT THE MONEY AND THE PUSSY. And he has played through many rough times during his career he felt not needed anymore and retired but loved the game with a passion and missed it and wants to come back. Why the fuck would you want to bash on him. IF YOU LOVED THE GAME YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND! I feel for the people who got career ending injurys how they cant play the game anymore I understand that.

Your easily bought if you think players just come back for the love of the game. Favre is getting paid millions to come back for another season. Once you quit being a professional, your income drops probably by 90% depending what you have on the side.

This thread was most likely posted so we could discuss what we thought of him coming back.
Question (serious), once you file your retirement papers, can you come back, or do you have to leave for sure?

There's nothing wrong with loving the game. All NFL players do, thats why they are in the league. But if your going to just toy around about retirment, then come back right before training camp, then your not only putting your team in a situation where they have to make a tough choice, but you also shoot yourself in the foot.
Again--I see nothing wrong with loving the game and wanting to play--but Favre chose the wrong time to un-retire.

Not every NFL player does now a days the ones screwing must love the money. If you ever played football and took a bit off or had to from(injury) and you love the game you know how bad it hurts. And Favre may have cried during his speech is because he didnt want it to end.
